Security

 

Nob Hill Academy is designed specifically for children. From infants to school age your child will be surrounded by an age appropriate classroom environment. All areas including bathrooms, sinks, drinking fountains, and furniture are designed for each age group.

 

For your child's safety, a security entrance is provided. Cameras are installed throughout the facility and are monitored by our directors. In addition, a code will be assigned to parents to clock their child in/out of the center. No child shall be released to any person not listed on page 1 of the enrollment packet. Picture identification is required for the release of any child.

 

Staff

 

The staff at our center has been carefully selected. All staff members including volunteers, are required to complete and pass a full background screening prior to employment. The Directors of Nob Hill Academy have been carefully chosen for their professionalism, knowledge of early childhood education and dedication to children and families in our community. The directors hold a minimum of a Florida Director Credential as well as 5 or more years of experience in the field of early childhood development and running effective quality early childhood program.

 

All teachers at Nob Hill Academy are trained professionals and hold a Florida Department of Education Early Childhood Professional Certificate formally known as CDA or higher. This credential is a Birth through Five Child Care Credential issued by the Florida Department of Education. Assistant teachers must fulfill the mandatory Introductory Child Care Training as well as the Early Learning Literacy training requirement. All staff members are required to complete 24 clock hours of inservice training per year. Staff participate in a variety of trainings such as literacy, outdoor classrooms, creative art, lesson plan, health and safety, ethics, and more provided at the center.
